What would you do if you meet a big wild bear in the woods? Run for your life or stay calm?
Well, we all know that wild bears can be quite vicious and have the potential to attack humans, so most people will feel scare to death when they meet one.
But not for this family in Deep Creek, Maryland in a recent viral video. The four family members were having casual picnic outing on the dining table and a big wild black bear came to join in the ‘party’.
More surprisingly, there is no tension in the video. Four family members were seen to be relaxing and treated the wild bear like their family member and one guy even fed the bear with peanut butter sandwich, and the bear seemed to enjoy the moment and slowly eating the food with the ‘gang’.
The shocking incident took place in Deep Creek, Maryland and the video was uploaded on TikTok by Kaitlyn Nesbit.
According to her, when she and three other family members were chilling out in the woods, suddenly an unexpected guest joined them and happened to be a big wild black bear!
Kaitlyn and her family members at that time were actually very scared but they had to ‘freeze’ themselves because sudden movements would only trigger unexpected attack by the bear!
So that basically explained the weird and unique atmosphere in the video….One guy even handed over the bread with peanut butter to be enjoyed by the wild bear, and more surprisingly, the wild animal looked calm throughout the recording and acted like it was ‘accustomed’ to humans!
“Some of our group are used to being out in the wild so we were all told to not make sudden movements and stay where we were. Most of us were scared to death and filmed from the deck but the brave tested their luck, ” added Kaitlyn at length.
“This area is my friend’s cabin and they said that the bear was always in the area and never bothered them,” Kaitlyn said.
However, the Maryland Department of Natural Resources advised the public not to take any action such as feeding wild animals such as bears.
In an advisory by the Maryland Department of Natural Resources, we read”:
“DON’T FEED IT! Scare it away. Make loud noises, bang pans, or yell. Seeing bears can be very enjoyable. However, having a bear in camp can lead to problems that will persist long after you have gone home. If a problem becomes serious, your safety and the bear’s safety may become jeopardized.”
While this uploaded video looks fun, people are advised to be vigilant and avoid feeding wild animals as shown in this video. Sounds fun, but very risky!
