A cargo ship travelling to Melbourne from Ningbo, Zhejiang was reported to have had momentary loss of propulsion, which resulted in stacks of containers falling off the ship into the sea. The cargo was carrying face masks, home appliances, building materials and medical supplies when the incident happened on May 24th. The ship was reported to have encountered a huge wave while it was at sea about 73 kilometers southeast of Sydney, causing the vessel to destabilize greatly. 40 containers were said to have dropped into the water, its contents covering a good portion of the sea.
